Ammar Al-Husseinawi is a second-generation Master Barber with over 15 years of experience in the craft. Taught by his uncle, Ammar grew up around the buzz of the barbershop — learning not just the technical skills, but the deeper value of service, connection, and tradition.
For Ammar, barbering is more than just a profession — it’s a calling. Every cut is shaped by years of discipline, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in who they are. What inspired you to start Barber Blue?
Barbering has always been more than a job for me — it's been a way to connect, create, and give people that feeling when they walk out knowing they look and feel their best. I believe your hair is part of your identity — how you present yourself, how you move through the world. I wanted to create a space that honoured that, where every person leaves feeling seen and elevated. That's how Barber Blue was born.
What sets Barber Blue apart from other barbershops?
We're all about quality over hype. Every cut is done with care — no rush, no shortcuts. We focus on getting the details right and creating a welcoming vibe. It's a mix of modern style and that old-school service where people feel heard, respected, and walk out looking sharp every single time.
What's your approach to style and cutting?
It's all about balance — clean lines, smooth fades, and making sure the cut fits the person, not just the trend. I take the time to understand what a client wants and offer advice if they're unsure. My goal is always to have people leaving with a cut that feels like them — just elevated.
